When 2 yellow bananas went hill climbing.

One fine Sunday, 2 yellow bananas decided to climb some hills. The usual works of breakfast and it was off to 2 cool hills about 20 minutes away from KL - Genting Highlands and Fraser Hill

Cool and barely any traffic it was fun zipping around.

The S2000 was graceful. But beneath the graceful looks was a huge voice. This happy occupant actually wore ear plugs when we drove topless. And just before your mind elsewhere...topless here refers to us driving with the top down!

The other yellow banana was all grace and power. For the Cayman S it was an effortless climb up and down the hill and fast on the straights. Johnson definitely had his fun and the plus factor of having it manual. Yes, you read it right. Johnson's Cayman S is a manual. Manual is real fun as real drivers will tell you!

In between, the humans have to eat too. And we discovered some delightful bites in Gohtong Jaya that I'll share in the next post.

Cameronian weekend with the 3 stooges

I call Johnson, Jonathan and Dennis the 3 stooges. These 3 blokes met via our Spyders and would attend events together never mind that Jonathan was from Singapore. This fella is a rather hardcore bloke and would drive up just for the autocross and hill drives - yes food too.

This round we joined Jonathan and Ellena at Cameron Highland Resort. It was cool drive up and definitely a fun one for Johnson in his Cayman. For Jonathan its simply playing with his Elise. And me...happily playing with the Lumix and also the Nex 5. Hubby had fun driving with his wife standing up to take pics. Crazy but it was fun.

Cameron Highland Resort is a cozy relaxing resort overlooking the golf course. Their service is unquestionably friendly and one would be feeling utterly pampered. And undoubtedly rejuvenated after the 3 days 2 nights stay.

Food in Camerons can be quite technical. Well you can always opt for KFC if you like fast food:P or walk around and test out the local makan places. We like Bunga Suria in Tanah Rata for its lovely Naan and Tandoori.

Then a not to be missed place for us to TT will be the Boh Tea Farm. Honestly food sucks but the ambience is nice. Overlooking the tea plantation. There you'll be experiencing the wind, mist and rain in your short TT session. Tea is of course nice:P

This round we saw this truck / lorry. Old fashion style, it transported the trekkers. And our boys jumped onto it to post for some pictures. Macho truck with our boys is cute right?

Drive slow TT

Its been sometime since we took a night drive to Genting Highlands. So when Johnson suggested we have a slow drive, it was an immediate YES! Plus the weather last night was so delightfully cool and the skies were clear. Unlike the usual daytime hilly drives, this would not result in sunburn. But with such cool air, perhaps moonburn burn:P and being nicely chilled.

Many asked "Drive slow TT, sure or not?" Well...we did got slow and easy. The air was so cool and the skies were so clear, so why not drive slow and savour the mood? And really its all about driving within our 

limits.

This round, we had the company of Porsche Cayman S

Toyota MR2 

and 3 Spyders.  

My fave elements of this drive:

• Reunited with my law school classmate who coincidently also bought a Spyders recently.

• No regrets in buying the Ohlins suspension. Firm ride and almost no body roll. Totally different feel compared previous runs of this similar drive and route when we were on Sportivo and Tiens.

I know it says no parking or else your car will be towed...

however, I think its all about telling the guards nicely that you want to park there for a while. In our case, we were sitting at Starbucks having our TT. And that's pretty much smack in front of where our cars were.

And after being fed with sugar and the fresh air, Gladys my neighbour from Kluang and now nieghbour in KL went cute:D

And tradition calls, that the blokes will always be peering under each other's car. Fondling each other's car:P

In short, its been a good kick start to my weekend...
